City of Waukegan Public Works Fuel Station Improvements

The owner will receive bids for the removal and replacement of the existing fueling station at the City of Waukegan Public Works Facility. The Work will include: Demolition, excavation, sitework, asphalt and concrete paving, pavement striping, fuel island, canopy, fuel pump and all associated equipment, drywall, acoustic, doors & frames, electical, low voltage and security systems.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the Gubernatorial and Mayoral Emergency Orders, the
City of Waukegan’s standard procedures for submittal of bids has been modified as noted
Sealed or Electronic bids will be received by the Owner until 1:30 p.m. on Friday, May 22, 2020 by
following the procedures indicated below:
Two Options are availble for submitting a Bid:

OPTION 1 – Hard Copy Bid Submission: A sealed envelope addressed with the name of the
Bidder, Owner, name and project number of the Contract, and the date and time of the Bid. Deliver to the City Clerk Kilkelly c/o Deputy Chief Zupec, Waukegan Police Department Front
Desk, 101 North West Street, Waukegan, Illinois 60085.

OPTION 2 – Electronic Bid Submission: Bidders interested in submitting an Electronic Bid
Submission should email CityClerk@waukeganil.gov for written directions on how to
electronically submit their Bid.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If a bidder chooses this option to submit their bid, they must
contact the Clerk’s Office at the email above NO LATER THAN FRIDAY MAY 15, 2020.
This will allow the Clerk’s Office a sufficient amont of time to respond to electronic
bidding information requests prior to the bid opening date.
