Sealed bids will be received at the Pottawatomie Community Center, 8 North Avenue, St. Charles, Illinois 60174, until 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 19, 2018 for the Sportsplex Interior Remodeling and HVAC Unit Replacement located at 1400 Foundry Street, St. Charles, Illinois 60174, Attention: Laura M. Rudow. The above bids will be opened and read publicly at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at the Pottawatomie Community Center, 8 North Avenue.

The Bidding Documents may also be examined at the Architect’s office, Kluber, Inc., 10 S. Shumway Avenue, Batavia, IL 60510.

A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held Thursday, June 7, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. All bidders should meet at 1400 Foundry Street, St. Charles, Illinois 60174. Bidders must be present at the start of the meeting to qualify to bid on the project.

The St. Charles Park District reserves the right at any time and for any reason to cancel this Invitation to Bid, to accept or reject any or all Bids or portion thereof, or accept an alternate bid. The Park District reserves the right to waive any immaterial defect in any bid, or technicality, informality or irregularity in the bids received, and to disregard all nonconforming or conditional bids or counterproposals.

Unless otherwise specified by the bidder or the Park District, the Park District reserves the right to hold the best bids for ninety (90) days from the opening date set forth above. The Park District may seek clarification from any bidder at any time and failure to respond promptly is cause for rejection. The Park District further reserves the right to award the bid to the lowest responsible Bidder whose offer best responds in quality, fitness and capacity of the requirements of the proposed work or usage and therefore is in the best interest of the Park District.
